A Main Responsibility of Academic Education & Research

Education is the most powerful tool to change the world!
Nelson Mandela

The most distinguished academic responsibility in engineering disciplines is to serve the education and the development of qualified professionals for industry and science, for public positions, and – last but not least – the next generation of academic professors.
In that sense, research projects are means rather than ends, serving the prime purpose of personal professional development.

The nexus to Sustainable Development needs to become an indispensible elementĀ of any engineering education and research activity.
Reinhold W. Lang
